François Gravel

Francois started acrobatic gymnastics at the age of seven and won many awards in provincial and national competitions. Nine years later he joined the Collegial Dance Program of Drummondville, QC where he explored the styles of Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet. During those two years, Francois' talent was noticed by the biggest names of Jazz dance when he took part to two important dance festivals in Quebec and won two Gold medals and the jury prize in 2002 for his original choreography. In 2003, Francois started his formation at the National Circus School in Montreal and decided to specialize in dance trapeze, a discipline which he combined his acrobatic and artistic abilities.

Since graduating in 2006, he has been part of many productions including Circus Monti (2007), Plus Grand Cabaret du Monde (2008), Cirque de Demain (2010), Soap the Show (2009-2012) and worked for renowned companies Cirque Eloize and Cirque du Soleil. In 2012 Francois was the acrobatic choreographer and resident director for Orchid the Show.
