James Kingsford-Smith was born in London and later moved with his parents to Edinburgh, Scotland and then to Australia. At age five, he took up gymnastics. He later completed his artistic training at the "NICA" in Melbourne. James has already worked for countless renowned circus companies, such as "Circa" or "Cirque du Soleil". between 2009 and 2012, James has developed his own pieces. His solo performance "Unenlightened and Alone" hit the stage at the 2010 Fringe festival in Adelaide and Edinburgh, where he drew rave reviews from the general public and the press. James continued in Variete during 2011 performing in the hit show DUMMY at the GOP Variete houses in Germany James now continues his own work through an organization called The BOB Collective which is a multidisciplinary group of musicians, dances, visual artists and acrobats. Currently James works freelance and also for Daniele Finzi Pasca "s (Corteo / Cirque Du Soleil) company on their new show, LA VERITA (The Truth)
