A physical representation of Billy Hollidays' work "Strange Fruit" in order to acknowledge the underlying discourse it embodies as perfectly actual in nowadays artistic and humanistic context. The aim of the act is to translate its inherent physicality and mourning energy into the acrobatic element that best suits both the message and the aesthetic formality of this historical song. Thus, in my work the straps were chosen for this matter to enact a choreography entirely deviced and performed by me, an autodidact myself, as integral part of a wider project by which my main purpose is to signify my art in particular and the acrobatic arts in general one step further from themselves, as the powerful and meaningful communication tools I believe them to be.
